Bacon horseradish dip is a delicious and easy-to-make dip that is perfect for parties, game day, or just a snack.

It is made with just a few simple ingredients, including cooked bacon, cream cheese, horseradish, and sour cream. The bacon adds a smoky and salty flavor, while the horseradish adds a bit of heat. The sour cream helps to balance out the flavors and make the dip creamy.

This dip is perfect for dipping vegetables, crackers, or chips.

To make the dip even more flavorful, let it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. This will allow the flavors to meld together and create a truly delicious dip.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use good quality bacon. The better the bacon, the better the dip will taste. Look for bacon that is thick-cut and has a good amount of fat.
  • Adjust the amount of horseradish. Horseradish is a strong and pungent ingredient, so adjust the amount based on your taste preferences. If you like a milder dip, use less horseradish, and if you like it spicier, use more.
  • Let the dip sit overnight. While you can serve the dip immediately after mixing, it is best to let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. This will allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve with the right accompaniments: Bacon Horseradish Dip pairs well with a variety of accompaniments, such as crackers, chips, or vegetables. Consider serving it with celery sticks, carrot sticks, or cucumber slices for a healthier option.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. You can add different ingredients to the dip to change up the flavor. Some popular additions include:
    Cheddar cheese
    Green onions
    Garlic powder
    Onion powder
    Worcestershire sauce
    Dijon mustard
Chives: If you want to add a pop of color and flavor to the dip, you can sprinkle some chopped chives on top before serving. This will also add a mild flavor that complements the bacon and horseradish.
Jalapeño: For a spicier version of this dip, you can substitute the horseradish with chopped jalapeño peppers. This will give the dip a unique, spicy flavor that pairs well with the smoky bacon.

Substitutions

If you don't have any bacon, you can use turkey bacon or even veggie bacon.
You can substitute the sour cream with greek yogurt.

Storage

Bacon Horseradish Dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. If the dip separates or becomes watery, simply give it a stir before serving.
