Tater Tot Casserole


This easy casserole combines tater tots, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese to make a delicious dinner.




Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lbs tater tots
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs frozen peas
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Take a 9 x 13 casserole dish and spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large skillet, add ground beef and chopped onion.
Brown over medium-high heat and then drain off any excess liquid.
In a large bowl, add the cooked beef and onions
Then add cream of mushroom soup and garlic salt.
Stir until well combined.
Place the mixture into your prepared dish.
Sprinkle frozen peas over the top.
In a skillet, over medium heat, add your tater tots and thaw / warm them.
Place the warmed tater tots over the peas.
Then evenly sprinkle on your shredded cheese.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top is browned and the cheese is hot and melted.
