Ground Beef Casserole


This delicious casserole combines ground beef, veggies, cheese and pasta to make a hearty meal.




Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1, 15 ounce can tomatoes
  • 1, 8 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1, 8 ounce can mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1, 6 ounce package angel hair pasta, cooked
  • 1, 10 3/4 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Take a large casserole dish and spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large skillet, add the ground beef.
Brown this over medium high heat. Drain off any excess liquid.
Next, add the onions, bell peppers and celery.
Simmer this for 15 minutes.
Then add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper.
Stir together and simmer for 1 hour.
Place your cooked pasta into the bottom of your prepared dish.
Pour the mushroom soup over the pasta and spread out evenly.
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Bake in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
