A crunchy snack that mixes cereal and pecans with a praline glaze.
Ingredients:
1, 14.5 oz box Oatmeal Squares Cereal
2 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
4 Tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Spray a 13 x 9 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Add cereal and pecan halves to prepared baking span.
Stir together and set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, add brown sugar, light corn syrup and butter.
Microwave on high, stirring every 30 - 60 seconds, until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from microwave and add vanilla and baking soda.
Stir together well.
Pour mixture over the cereal and pecans.
Stir to evenly coat.
Bake in the oven for 1 hour, stirring mixture every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and place mixture onto a baking sheet and spread it out.
Let cool completely and then break it into pieces to serve.
