This is an easy and delicious, bite-sized dessert.
Ingredients:
1, 11.5 ounce package milk chocolate or semi-sweet morsels
2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
3 ripe bananas
Your favorite toppings such as chopped peanuts, coconut flakes, sprinkles, granola, crushed pretzels, etc
Directions:
Take a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a microwave safe cup or bowl, add chocolate morsels and oil.
Melt in the microwave in 20 - 30 second intervals, stirring each time, until it is melted. Be careful not to burn it.
Take a banana, peel it and slice it into about 1/2 inch slices.
Using a fork, dip one of the banana slices into the melted chocolate. Scrape off any excess chocolate.
Coat your chocolate dipped banana slice with your favorite topping.
Place the covered banana slice onto your prepared baking sheet.
Repeat until you have used all of your banana slices.
If your melted chocolate starts to get too thick, you can add another teaspoon of oil and reheat in the microwave to thin
the chocolate and make it more dippable.
Once you have coated all of your banana slices, place them into the freezer for several hours to let the chocolate
setup and the bananas to freeze.
To store, place in a freezer-safe container in the freezer.
