Taco Pie


This main dish is quick and delicious! It's great for parties or any type of get togethers.




Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 cup salsa
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

  • Optional toppings:

  • Shredded lettuce
  • Sour cream
  • Diced tomato
  • Sliced black olives

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Carefully separate crescent dough into 8 triangles.
Place the triangles onto the bottom of an ungreased 10 inch pie plate.
Press the triangles together, over the bottom and up the sides of the pie plate, to form a crust. Set aside.
In a skillet, add ground beef and brown over medium heat. Drain off any excess liquid.
Then add salsa and taco seasoning mix.
Stir together well.
Let this simmer for about 5 minutes.
Then spoon the mixture into your crust lined pie plate.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and serve with your favorite toppings.
