This burrito casserole recipe is super easy to prepare and makes a delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef or ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1, 4 1/2 ounce can chopped green chiles
1, 16 ounce can refried beans
1, 10 3/4 ounce can cream of chicken soup
6 to 8 ounces sour cream
6 large flour tortillas
2 to 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
In a large skillet, add ground meat and chopped onion.
Brown over medium heat and then drain off any excess liquid.
Then add taco seasoning mix, chopped green chiles and refried beans.
Stir together until well combined.
In a bowl, add cream of chicken soup and sour cream.
Stir together well.
Pour half of the soup mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
Take three of the tortillas and tear into fourths.
Place torn tortillas over the soup mixture.
Evenly spoon half of the meat mixture over the tortillas.
Sprinkle on half of your shredded cheddar cheese.
Repeat with another layer of soup mixture, then torn tortillas, meat mixture and cheddar cheese.
Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and melted.
