Red, white and blue strawberries are great treats for your 4th of July get togethers.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
blue food coloring
1 pint fresh strawberries
8 ounces white almond bark
Directions:
To make blue colored sugar, take a jar with a tight fitting lid and add your sugar.
Add 2 drops of blue food coloring, put on the lid and shake well.
Continue adding drops of food coloring and then shaking until you reach the color of blue you want.
Pour into a small bowl so that you are able to dip the strawberries into it.
Wash and dry strawberries. Leave on the stems.
Melt the white almond bark.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Dip a strawberry into the melted almond bark until it is 2/3 of the way covered. Shake off any excess.
Dip the bottom third into the blue sugar.
Place onto the parchment paper.
Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
Store in the refrigerator.
