Banana Syrup


A delicious, banana flavored syrup that is great served over ice cream.




Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp banana extract or flavoring
  • 1 - 2 drops yellow food coloring

Directions:

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, add sugar and water.
Stir this together and bring to a boil.
Boil for 5 to 5 1/2 minutes.
Remove from heat and let cool for about 20 minutes.
Then add banana extract or flavoring and yellow food coloring.
Stir together well.
Store in the refrigerator. It will thicken as it cools.
