Wendy's Chili |
Ingredients 2 lbs ground beef 1, 29 ounce can tomato sauce 1, 29 ounce can kidney beans, with liquid 1, 29 ounce can pinto beans, with liquid 1 cup diced onions 1/2 cup diced green chili peppers 1/4 cup diced celery 3 medium tomatoes, chopped 2 to 3 teaspoons cumin powder 3 tablespoons chili powder salt and pepper to taste 2 cups water shredded cheddar cheese (optional) Directions In a skillet, add the ground beef. Brown this over medium heat. Drain any excess liquid. In a large soup pot, add the browned beef and the remaining ingredients except for the cheese. Stir together well. Bring this to a simmer over low heat. Continue cooking this for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese (optional). |
