Maple Pecan Party Mix
This is a delicious sweet and salty snack that is easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups Rice Chex Cereal
- 4 cups Corn Chex Cereal
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- 3/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons maple extract
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.In a large bowl, add cereals, pecans and pretzel twists.
Stir together and set aside.
In a saucepan, add butter and melt over low to medium heat.
Add brown sugar and stir together until dissolved.
Stir in maple extract.
Pour over cereal mixture.
Stir together until everything is coated.
Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
Bake in the oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread the mixture out onto foil to cool.
Store in an airtight container.
