Broccoli Salad |
Ingredients 1/2 lb bacon, crumbled 5 - 6 cups bite-sized, fresh (not frozen), broccoli florets 1/2 cup red onions, chopped 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese 2 1/2 tablespoons vinegar 1/3 cup sugar 1 cup mayonnaise Directions In a skillet, fry 1/2 lb bacon. Drain and then crumble it. Set aside. Cut enough fresh broccoli to make 5 to 6 cups. Rinse broccoli and completely dry. In a large bowl, add broccoli, red onion, crumbled bacon and cheese. In a small bowl, add vinegar, sugar and mayonnaise. Stir well. Pour this over the broccoli mixture. Toss this all together until it's mixed thoroughly. This tastes even better the next day. |
