Golden Oven Fried Chicken

Ingredients
1 (3 lb) chicken, cut into pieces
1/4 cup oil
1/4 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


Directions
Rinse chicken.
Take a large bowl and add 1 to 2 teaspoons of salt.
Place chicken in salt water and soak for 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.
Take a shallow baking pan and add oil and butter.
Place pan in oven to melt.
In a large bowl, add flour, paprika, salt, seasoning salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Stir together until well combined.
Remove the hot pan from the oven.
Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
Place the chicken, skin side down, onto the hot pan.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Turn the chicken and place back into the oven.
Cook for an additional 20 or 30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and browned.
