Hot Fudge Cake

Ingredients
Batter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
3 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 1/4 cups hot water


Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
To make the batter, in a bowl add brown sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
Stir together until well combined.
Add milk, melted butter and vanilla.
Stir until smooth.
Spread mixture into an 8 x 8 baking pan.
To make the topping, in another bowl add brown sugar and cocoa.
Mix together well.
Sprinkle mixture evenly over the batter.
Pour hot water on top.
Bake in the oven for about 35 - 45 minutes.
Remove from oven and let stand about 15 minutes before serving.
