Chocolate Covered Cherries

Ingredients
maraschino cherries, drained
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
dipping chocolate



Directions
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Set aside.
Drain and dry maraschino cherries. Set aside.
In a bowl, add powdered sugar, margarine, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and salt.
Mix together until well combined.
Texture should have the consistency of play-dough. If it is sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
Take 1 to 2 teaspoons of the mixture and flatten it into a circle.
Wrap it around a cherry.
Place onto your prepared cookie sheet.
Repeat until you have used all of your mixture.
Place into your freezer for 1 hour.
In a microwave safe cup or bowl, melt some dipping chocolate.
Dip a cherry into the melted chocolate until evenly covered.
Place dipped cherry back onto the cookie sheet.
Repeat until you have coated all of the cherries.
Chill in refrigerator until the chocolate sets up.
Be sure to store these in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
