7 Layer Jello |
Ingredients 4, 3 ounce boxes Jello gelatin, in different colors and flavors 6 envelopes unflavored gelatin 5 3/4 cup boiling water, divided 1/4 cup cold water 1, 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk Directions Take a 9 x 13 baking pan and spray it non-stick cooking spray. Set aside. In a bowl, add 1 box of Jello gelatin and 1 envelope of unflavored gelatin. Add 1 cup of boiling water. Stir together until dissolved. Pour the mixture into your prepared pan. Refigerate this until it is set, but not firm (approximately 20 minutes). While the first layer is setting up, in another bowl, add 1/4 cup cold water and 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin. Stir together until dissolved. Next, pour in sweetened condensed milk and 1 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir together until well combined. Now let this cool to room temperature. Spoon 1 cup of the milk mixture over the first layer of Jello. Refrigerate this until it sets up, but not firm (approximately 25 minutes). Now repeat with the next Jello flavor. Make sure it is room temperature before pouring it over the milk layer. Alternate Jello and milk layers, ending with the last Jello flavor. As you add more layers it will take longer to set. Once all the layers are set, cut into squares to serve. |
